This was a strange one and ChatGPT led me to the solution with this answer:
....navigate to the LDAP / AD integration settings. Under the 'Advanced' tab, in the 'Directory Settings' section, there's an attribute for 'Home Folder Naming Rule'. Make sure that it's correctly set to an attribute that exists for your LDAP users. Sure enough, I found issues and they solved it.
