If you have Home Assistant giving you Smart Home capabilities, you should protect it from power failure by using UPS. Not only will it allow you to run system if power fails, but it will protect your hardware for any sudden power loss or power surges.

In this video, I'll be using embedded NUT server in Synology, but any installation of NUT server will do. If you are using any other OS or Virtual Environment, check this page for installation:
