Hey guys! Here's a quick review of the ASRock Radeon RX 580 Phantom Gaming (GXR, 8GB). Before you ask: Since the Radeon RX 580 has been reviewed tons of times we're skipping through some of the details (like all the individual game benchmarks) and just get to the point of how this newcomer in the GPU market positions itself next to the MSI Gaming X and ASUS ROG Strix models.
You can buy the ASRock RX 580 here:
(US, Amazon.com) - https://amzn.to/2VimOfl
(EU, Amazon.de) - https://amzn.to/2T0To92
Update Sept 3rd 09:50 - At the time of filming this was the cheapest RX 580. Do keep in mind that prices fluctuate, for example we see some discounted Gigabyte RX 580's for even 50 EUR less. That's the way of the budget market, so always make sure you check day pricing before you buy anything.
p.s. I'll try to smile a bit more next time. GPU #50 in a particular generation does kill your brain ;)
For those interested, these are the games we compare GPU's with:
3D Mark (Time Spy, Fire Strike standard/Extreme/Ultra)
Assassin's Creed Origins
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
Tom Clancy's The Division
Strange Brigade (DX12 / Vulkan)
Warhammmer: Total War (DX12)
Hitman (2016) (DX12)
Hitman Absolution (will be removed for next gen)
Ashes of the Singularity (DX12)
Far Cry 5
Far Cry Primal (will be removed for next gen)
Middle-earth: Shadow of War
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (will be removed for next gen)
GTA V
Thief (will be removed for next gen)
We test at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, and at (generally) both Medium and Ultra presets or something similar. If you have any game suggestions, or any questions about this or specific results, just let us know!
