This is a quick video about the radiographic appearance of benign uterine fibroids or leiomyomas. Uterine fibroids, also known as leiomyomas, are noncancerous growths of the uterus that often appear during childbearing years. They are composed of muscle cells and other tissues that grow within the wall of the uterus. Uterine fibroids vary in size, ranging from tiny seedlings that are undetectable by the human eye to large masses that can distort and enlarge the uterus.
Included in this video are multiple different radiographic examples of these potentially large soft tissue masses. Enjoy!
