TVS Apache RTR 180 Highlights
The price of the TVS Apache RTR 180 has been increased recently by Rs 3,500. It now costs Rs 1,13,065 (ex-showroom Odisha).
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is one of the most popular motorcycles in its segment. Its styling has remained more or less the same over the years. Apart from a cleaner engine in its BS6 iteration, the motorcycle also received a new Glide Through Technology (GTT) feature, which is essentially a low-speed assist, ideal for traffic-riddled roads
TVS Apache RTR 180 Price:
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is currently priced at Rs 1,13,565 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is a premium of Rs 3,500 over the previous price. The bike comes in three colour options: Pearl White, Gloss Black, and Matte Blue.
TVS Apache RTR 180 Features:
The Apache RTR 180 BS6 retains its halogen headlamp with LED DRLs. It also uses the same semi-digital instrument cluster and clip-on handlebars as before. The only major addition on the BS6 iteration is the Glide Through Technology. This is essentially a low-speed assist feature that lets the bike crawl in city traffic by just modulating the clutch. As far as safety is concerned, the bike gets single-channel ABS and integrated frame sliders as standard.
TVS Apache RTR 180 Engine:
Powering the BS6-compliant RTR 180 is the same 177.4cc single-cylinder motor as before, but it now gets fuel injection in a bid to comply with the new emission norms. This engine produces 16.79PS (up by 0.17PS) at 8500rpm and 15.5Nm at 7000rpm (500rpm higher). The motor works in conjunction with a 5-speed transmission.
TVS Apache RTR 180 Suspension & Brakes:
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is built on a double-cradle frame linked to a telescopic front fork and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Brakes include a 270mm dia petal disc up front and a 200mm petal disc at the rear, with single channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with a 90/90-section tyre up front and a 110/80-section rubber at the rear.
TVS Apache RTR 180 Rivals:
As far as the competition is concerned, the TVS Apache RTR 180 goes head-to-head against the Pulsar 180F. But at its price bracket, you also have other bikes to choose from like the Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer , Yamaha FZ-S, Bajaj Avenger Street 160 and Pulsar NS160.
