If you want to start building your own Smart Home then you have come to the right place.

In these videos I'll be walking you through how to build your own start home using Home Assistant. This series of videos start with how to get Home Assistant up and running using Home Assistant Green. Then moves on to getting the basics installed on Home Assistant and then finally adding your own smart products and building automations and dashboards.

In this second video in the series, I provide a step by step guide on how to backup Home Assistant using the Automated Backup capability in the 2025.1 release of Home Assistant. As I'll be using Home Assistant Cloud to storage my backups, I also included in this video are step by step details of how to setup Home Assistant integration with Nabu Casa.
