Young Player of the Year: Nikita Mikhailovskii, Avtodor | Season 2018/19
Avtodor guard Nikita Mikhailovsky has been named the 2018-19 VTB United League Young Player of the Year. The Young Player of the Year is selected among players age 22 and younger (born in 1997 or later).
18-year-old Nikita Mikhailovsky played 26 games for Avtodor, averaging 5.5 points (55.2% from inside the arc, 36.6% from outside, 83.3% at the line), 2.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists to go with a 5.7 efficiency rating in 15.5 minutes. His best game of the season came against Kalev (112-109). In 28 minutes on the court, the Russian recorded 22 points and a 20 efficiency rating.
Nikita Mikhailovsky was also picked to the Russian Stars at the 2019 All-Star Game, which was held at Moscow’s VTB Arena on February 17.
