Recipe:
Whiskey Glaze:
20 min prep, 20 min cook time, 6 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup peach preserves
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup whiskey
Step 1 - In a medium saucepan, add the preserves, brown sugar, honey, and vinegar.
Step 2 - Heat on medium to high heat while constantly stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 20 minutes
Step 3 - Add the whiskey, and stir in thoroughly.
Step 4 - Reduce down to a glaze consistency - when you pull out the spoon, it should be lightly coated
Step 5 - Use as a glaze for a ham, ribs, or salmon.
If you use this glaze when grilling, be careful to add it late in the process. Because of the sugar, it can and will burn.
