This is the 90's R&B girl group that was formed by one of the members of the old show "The Real World: Los Angeles", Tami Roman who was one of the four members of the group and she was the rapper. The groups' name was first called "Reality" when it was formed in 1993, but a year later during 1994, Tami re-named the group to "Female", which I like better. They were one of many 90's African American R&B and Hip Hop girl groups that were in the song "Freedom" on the 1995 "Panther" soundtrack album along with En Vogue, SWV, TLC, Xscape, For Real, Brownstone, Jade, Y?N-Vee, Da 5 Footaz, Salt-N-Pepa, Pure Soul, Vybe, Emàge, Ebony Vibe Everlasting (E.V.E.), Blackgirl, Jazzyfatnastees (the Quartet line-up), Changing Faces, Zhané, and Terri & Monica. Those were all the groups that were in the song along with female African American solo artists and female rappers. The second song they recorded for the "Panther" soundtrack was a cover version of the classic hit "If I Were Your Woman" by Gladys Knight and the Pips, only the solo recording artist Shanice was the main singer while, the group was the backing vocals. The third final song that Female recorded was a cover version of the 1967 legendary soul hit "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" by the late Aretha Franklin. I saw Tami as the Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes of Female.
