There Are Two Options For Setting Up Gmail In Thunderbird.
First One is Turn On "Less Secure App Access" in Google Account Settings and then Setup Gmail in Thunderbird. This is covered in this video with Live Setup.
Second way to Gmail in Mozilla Thunderbird is Enable "Two Step Verification" on Google Account and then generate App Password for Thunderbird. Use that App Password to setup Gmail in Thunderbird. This is RECOMMENDED Method. Covered in this video with live Setup.
Steps to Setup Gmail in Thunderbird using Recommended Method:-
1. Enable POP/IMAP in Gmail Settings.
2. Enable Two Step Verification on Google Account.
3. Generate App Password for Thunderbird.
4. Use that App Password on place of Gmail Default Login Password to Setup Gmail in Thunderbird Mail Client.
