How to Stream Video online with an Encoder
In order to stream video online you will need an Encoder or something that converts (encodes) your video to make it stream. This video demonstrates 2 encoders, 1 a computer using software(Wirecast) to encode the video, and 2 a stand alone encoder (Teradek Vidiu) which you plug the camera directly into to stream.
Both are great options. The Teradek Vidiu is my "go to" tool for single camera streams.
I use this with students who are streaming sports or board of ed meetings. The set up on the Vidiu is very simple and it works.
