Sonic Adventure DX - Sonic's Story, Part 1/12
When Chaos appears in Station Square on a rainy night, Sonic arrives to put a stop to him. Sonic defeats Chaos and he retreats into the sewer as Dr. Eggman lurks overhead, proclaiming Chaos to be the "god of destruction."
The next day, while lounging near the hotel pool, Sonic sees an out-of-control biplane piloted by Tails crash on the beach nearby. Sonic runs through the Emerald Coast to save Tails from the wreckage.
Back at the hotel, Tails explains that the plane he was flying was an experimental prototype (which obviously still had bugs to be worked out) designed to replace Sonic's plane, the Tornado. It used a new type of propulsion system which used a Chaos Emerald that Tails had as its power supply. Tails invites Sonic to come with him to his workshop in the Mystic Ruins so he can show him what he's been working on. Sonic heads to the train station and boards a train to Mystic Ruins.
After arriving in Mystic Ruins, Sonic and Tails head towards Tails' workshop located on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Once there they run into Eggman, who demands all of the Chaos Emeralds so he can put his plans to work. Eggman then attempts to squash Sonic with the Egg Hornet.
