It is I, Sucharita Tyagi with a review of Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.

#PortraitOfALadyOnFire is a 2019 French historical drama film written and directed by Céline Sciamma, starring Noémie Merlant, and Adèle Haenel. Set in France in the late 18th century, the film tells the story of a forbidden affair between an aristocrat and a painter commissioned to paint her portrait.

This movie is like a wonderfully tender, vivid, comforting yet scary dream which you really want to wake up from but the moment you do, you wish you hadn't.

I've been hearing the most amazing, and frankly rather unbelievable things about Portrait Of A Lady On Fire for a whole year now(since its Best Screenplay and Queer Palm win at Cannes 2019) and finally, it's legally available to watch in India on MUBI. So Women Telling Womens Stories dance toh banta hai.

Though this film is so much more than any stupid hashtag or video to tell you the truth. So many feels.
