Is educational programming that focuses on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Social and Emotional Learning and Culturally Responsive education helping or hindering our students? Too often minority students are placed in “affinity groups” in an effort to advance educational opportunities and “even the playing field”. How are these programs affecting minority students? Have they led to better educational outcomes, or have they stripped students of their individuality, resilience and confidence? Our panelists outline the racialist agendas in the classroom and explain what can be done to create a more authentic and enduring environment for educational excellence, regardless of skin color.
