Notes for You:: Unity Sphere Collider - Unity Physics System Tutorial 05
Sphere collider:
- is a collider; which comes in a spherical shape.
- can be used to wrap any spherical shape game object like ball, planet, moon, sun, fruits, vegetables, marbles etc.
Radius:
-indicates radius of sphere collider
Center:
- indicates offset of the collider from the center of a game object
Edit Collider Tool:
- enables controls for changing size of the collider
- Hold the control point using LMB – Hold down the Alt key - then drag
Material:
- indicates physic material of a game object
Physic material:
- determines how a game object must behave in the physical world.
Ex: rubber, plastic, wood, stone, metal, glass, ice etc.
Is Trigger:
- converts the collider in to a trigger;
- Trigger indicates non solid volume i.e. liquid, gas or vacuum, where as collider indicates solid volume
- Trigger is used to create a volume or a space, which senses and triggers events when some game object enters, stays or exits that particular volume/space.
Ex: Danger Zone, Water pool, Security Room, etc.
