The Nord Drivesystems interview with Dhanraj Kalbhor, the Managing Director, was conducted by Sharvari Prayag of Machine Maker. The interview was held to mark the launch of Nord Drivesystems Pvt Ltd's new products, which were demonstrated live for their customers. During the interview, Kalbhor discussed the new industrial gearbox, which is the company's biggest size gearbox. Previously, the company used to import the gearbox from their German headquarters, but with increasing demand from customers, they decided to start local production of the product in Pune in February.

The new industrial gearbox is available in frame sizes 5 to 10 and is in high demand in the Indian market. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly heavy-duty applications. Kalbhor noted that the company used to produce only 10-15 gearboxes per year, but now they are producing 150 gearboxes per day. The new product is a valuable addition to the company's product range, and they will begin assembling it in Pune with new infrastructure and machinery.

Kalbhor also mentioned that the company's German cooperation partners were present at the launch event. As this is a new production, there will be significant changes, and the company is excited to start its journey contributing to the "Make in India" initiative. Nord Drivesystems India is the fourth subsidiary of the Nord Drivesystems Group, and it is a proud moment for the company as they continue to expand and grow its business.
