How to make a solar eclipse viewer from a cereal box
Here's an easy way to make an indirect solar eclipse viewer out of a cereal box at home. This project is fast and easy and can be done within 10 or 15 minutes with just a few materials from around the house. This will allow you to safely view a solar eclipse like the Great American Total Solar Eclipse occurring on August 21, 2017 across the United States. If you don't have a pair of certified solar eclipse glasses, be sure to use a safe alternative method like this when viewing a solar eclipse. Never look directly at the sun. Just a few seconds of unprotected viewing can cause permanent eye damage! You can also use a shoe box with a similar method or just 2 pieces of paper to create some sort of pinhole projection on another surface so you can safely and indirectly view a solar eclipse.
