The world of Android Enterprise – what you should know when develop enterprise apps (Yusaku Tanaka)

Have you ever imagined what kind of devices/environments business applications are installed on in companies or organizations?
Companies and organizations sometimes distribute work devices to their employees, or allow employees to use their private devices for work as BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).
In this case, operating the device as it is poses various risks in terms of security, privacy, and labor health. For example, should employees be free to install apps on a company-issued device without going through the Google Play Store? Can you really say that the employee's privacy is protected when there are work apps running on their personal devices?
The mechanism to secure devices against these risks is MDM (Mobile Device Management), which is provided by Android Enterprise.
That is to say, many business apps may run in this MDM environment.

This session will introduce how Android Enterprise works to support the business use of Android, and the possible approaches that business app developers can take to Android Enterprise.
Specifically, I will introduce how MDM works in Android Enterprise, how it affects business apps, and the special features that business apps can provide in an MDM environment, based on publicly available information on Android Enterprise.
Through this session, I aim to provide business app developers a deeper understanding of the end-user environment.
