Sundar Pichai on Google’s early work culture
Sundar Pichai (Google's CEO) talks about how inspiring working at Google during the early days was. It was such an optimistic place where if you spoke to someone and you had ideas, they would expand on your idea vs. most of the time people try to tell you why things won't work.
As companies grow, they become more conservative and slow. Ironically, they have more cash and more resources, but they become slow and risk-averse when it comes to decision-making.
He explains that to keep scaling Google to a better company tomorrow, it's about preserving the spirit of the early days, the hacky days.
