A blooper was used in the final cut of the movie! While Mia and her best friend Lily are talking and walking up and down some wet bleachers, Mia takes a fall, but this wasn’t intentional or in the script. While filming in the rain, Anne Hathaway turned too quickly and slipped, but because she continued acting with the scene, it became usable. She never expected it to make the cut, just the blooper reel, but the director Gary Marshall found that her laugh afterwards made it all the more charming and worth keeping in the final cut of the movie.
