I originally has underestimated this character. he looks sort of silly, acts kinda silly and has Kermari on the brain all the time. But then, after playing with him for an extensive amount of time, I found out that he has a hidden can of "Whoopass" most people don't know about. icam64, you're in for a treat (requestor)
Stage: Battle of Kawanakajima
Time Limit: 8 Minutes
Difficulty Selected: Chaos
Objective: Help Shingen when his plan backfires, then take care of the reinforcements
Being the first story stage, he does get to do the most damage here. With a C5 attack, and a stern choice of weapon, I went for a Luck | Defense | Attack setup that seems to work quite favorable. They key to Yoshimoto's offense is the Level 3 musou attack. And not, don't hold down circle because it's no like Nobunaga's where he slashes things away. His charge attacks are actually wide-range. Then his C5 attack has a chance of causing damage x3 if all those balls of lightning explode close to your target. I went for luck because you could get more White Swords to drop and keep your damage up.
Musou at level 3 has a special added effect that is rather unique. Since I really don't know what to call it, I give them the name "Starburst". These explosions cause yet another special stun animation to any officer it hits. These explosions keep the officer standing and unable to evade so they get caught in the middle and are essentially stunlocked to death.
Then there is Yoshimoto's special skill. Yeah, the one where he faints. "What the %&$* is the point of that?!" many people would say. Then his self-skill, "Desperation" came into play. So you could red-line on low life while staying buffed in ATKX2 Mode and cause a whole ton of damage that way too (part of why I raised his defense). But then I saw a comment by calamatus600 that almost made him broken:
Faint right before your Musou ends.
I couldn't believe it. The musou does not end until Yoshimoto gets up. So with the length of time officers are exposed to these "Starbust" hits, you can cause so much damage that it rivals some other top characters. What's more is if they try to block it, you can rotate the camera and pull them in when they think they are safe. It's an almost failproof attack.
With all this in mind, if you still think Yoshimoto "sucks" after this video, you need to raise his levels first. I mean hey, most characters start off rough, but even Okuni can manage SOMETHING if you look hard enough.
