Color Grading as a photography technique has gained a lot of popularity in recent years. Adobe support LUT files in Photoshop and now Lightroom. And there are more editing tools that are also introducing them. But how can you create your own LUT files? After all, you don’t want to rely on purchasing lots of LUT’s when the range of effects you can create is almost limitless.
In this tutorial video, I demonstrate how you can use the 3D LUT Creator software to create your own LUTs. Once exported from the software, you can import and apply the LUT’s in Photoshop using the Color Lookup adjustment layer.
The software I use to create the LUTs is 3D LUT Creator. There is a free version of the software on the company website which is https://3dlutcreator.com
In the video, I use the Pro version of the software which was provided by the company at my request. This was after I had been using and was impressed by the free version.
