They ended up tricking Cody Fern before filming started on AHS: Apocalypse, and they told him that he would be playing the hero against Sarah Paulson’s villain role. Just a couple of days before filming started, Cody found out that he’d be playing the villain, Michael, against Sarah Paulson’s hero role. Also, the murder house used in the first season is a real house called Rosenheim Mansion. It was also used for filming in Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Halloween Special. It was used as a frat house for that special.
