In this video Pete shows how to use Groove Template Extraction in Pro Tools. Groove Template Extraction means exactly what you think it does. It is the creation of new "grid" based on the feel and groove of a musician's playing. Music is not supposed to be "perfect". And locking everything too tightly to a grid can take away the feel and the swing of the music. You want the groove to ebb and flow, but you still want the various elements in your production to sound tight.
