In this video we are going to discuss the basic commands used to configure AAA Authentication locally and using tacacs+ server that how to secure access to our network device using AAA services.
AAA is a framework (set of protocols) to control access to network devices. Authentication refers to verifying identity of a network user. Authorization refers to verifying users’ rights/ privileges to access network resources. Accounting refers to keeping a record of user’s activities.
There are two way to authenticate users using AAA. First is AAA local authentication and the second is server-based authentication. We discuss both of them in this video.
