HobbyBoss 1/72 German 80cm K(E) Railway Gun 'Dora" Scale Model Review
Put the kettle on, get comfy and sit down to this long in box review of an awesome amount of plastic from HobbyBoss. This is the largest scale model kit (in styrene) that I've owned or seen. A complete impulse buy for me and now I own it I have absolutely no idea where I'm going to put it!
The 'Dora's" real name is the Heavy Gustav (Schwerer Gustav) after it's inventor and maker Gustav Georg Friedrich Maria Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach and was the largest piece of artillery ever made firing 7 tonne shells. An amazing feat of engineering and logistics it is truly astonishing that this thing was ever built!
