Billed as “an entirely new software version of the original analog synthesizer,” GFORCE BASS STATION is an “exact” emulation of the original; though to signify any serious innovation, it comes with a highly developed mode that implements 16-voice polyphony, Unison modes, and much more.
The new AU/AAX/VST compatible softsynth takes its versatility far beyond the original monophonic hardware. Plus, includes the exclusive ‘X-Modifier‘ technology, which lets you work faster and create extensive modulations of almost any parameter without having to set up modulation paths – they’re already set up for you!
GForce has been pushing the boundaries of analog modeling since the turn of the millennium. And after making a name for themselves with perfect recreations of vintage synths, “they began expanding each offering with wish-list-worthy functionality that would never have been possible on the original hardware,” Novation says. “And the GFORCE BASS STATION is no exception.”
The new synthesizer also includes a high-pass filter, a powerful new sequencer and arpeggiator, and effects such as distortion, chorus, reverb, and delay. A fully scalable graphical panel and advanced preset sound browser streamline operating methods, while making it easy to search, customize, and explore sounds.
Bass Station fans will be right at home here, thanks to the sound, feature list, and a significant portion of the panel retained from the original hardware, “all faithfully recreated in utter detail.” But the GForce isn’t done there. This digital descendant brings modern, “quality of life” improvements that would have been a dream come true in 1993.
