if you wanna learn AI and machine learning
these are the best resources to look at
first of all
if you wanna have a good intuition of
how these models work
you're gonna need to have a good
understanding of probability and statistics
and seeing theory by Brown
University is a great place to learn that
next up you need to learn Python
it's not very difficult to pick up
you can pick any tutorial
just follow through with it
and you'll learn very quickly
also need to know a little bit of linear algebra
to have a great understanding of how these models work
so go learn some
this is a great textbook
and there are plenty YouTube videos
out there that will give you a quick crash course
if you don't wanna go to in depth
if you want a text that kind of covers
everything you need to know
then look at
Understanding Deep Learning by Simon Prince
it's very new
and I've heard amazing things about it
comes with a ton of exercises
and it's absolutely free
you also pay
attention to classical machine learning algorithms
because more often than not
that's all you're gonna need
if you want a great introbook
then Artificial Intelligence by Russell and Norvig
is widely considered to be the best
If you wanna go deeper into things like large language models
here's what you should look at
watch this playlist by Andrej Karpathy
it'll go from the basics on
your own networks to building out your own GPT
it's awesome
just that playlist alone is probably
enough to make you mildly competent
honestly speaking
you can skip a lot of the math
and probably never have to go deep into it
but your intuition is only gonna be strengthened
by knowing the math
