Today we discuss the two most popular branching strategies with Git. Also, we will look at how Microsoft does it.
Over these years we have come a long way from manually backing up previous versions of code to having a version control system locking files to eventually we arrived at merging files
It has enabled us as programmers to work more efficiently. Another considerable improvement was with Git, which incorporated the philosophy of distributed systems
Today Git has about 70% of the market share and it's no secret that GitHub has a significant contribution towards it.
