How to Use The 'CURRENT' Track in FL Studio's mixer
In this tutorial, I will explain what the "current track" in FL Studio is, and I will also show you how to use it. The "current track" in FL Studio has a very specific purpose in FL Studio and it's much more than just a meter. The current track in FL Studio is actually a utility track. It receives the input from whatever tracks are selected. This makes it ideal for visual plugins such as spectrum analyzers, tonal balance plugins, fruity wavecandy and so on. You can also use recording plugins such as Edison on the current track to quickly record the input from any selected track.
Let's say you load a spectrum analyzer to the current (c) track in FL Studio. The spectrum analyzer will now display the spectrum on whatever track you select in the mixer. This is useful because by using the "current track" instead, you won't have to load the same analyzers on every single track in the mixer.
Note that when you render out stems from FL Studio the Current track will also be rendered out, and in most cases, you can just delete it. The "current track" is only really useful as a utility track while mixing and mastering in FL Studio.
