a quick and simple way to stand-up a Network and server rack when you don't have the time (or the ability) to mount a backboard, drill holes into the floor for the Network post. And, it's perhaps quite a bit less expense than a full 7ft, four post network cabinet.
Personally, I found myself in a situation where I am living in a location temporarily and cannot drill holes in the floor. Nor, can I mount equipment (backboards or racks) to the walls. However, I did need a place to setup my Cisco switches and routers. As well as my PBX and VoIP lab.
Basically, the Wire bread-rack shelving does an excellent job at providing strong support for my equipment was well as easy access from both back/front. The movable shelving also give lots of flexibility to adjust as needed even after the system has been setup.
