It is important to know this, especially if you are considering an upgrade towards the Windows 11 operating system as that upgrade requires TPM version 2.0. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a security feature that is available in almost all Windows systems, but only systems build after 2019 in general have the 2.0 version, although for some brands and models upgrades of the firmware are available. Just open a PowerShell or CMD shell or choose "Run" (Win+R) and start the tpm.msc. The next screen provides you with all the TPM information and the version is at the right bottom.
