AutoCAD - Excel Text LINK
This video shows a utility that I created to link a custom "XL_LINK" AutoCAD block reference to a Microsoft Excel cell. The tool uses Open XML and does not require Microsoft Excel to be installed on the machine, but does require the referenced Excel file to be formatted in version 2007 or later.
Your drawing may contain as many XL_LINK blocks as you want. Drawing links can be locked individually so that subsequent calls of the "UpdateXLLinks" VB.net procedure will not update finalized XL_Links.
