Hello and welcome to IT Convergence's User Productivity Kit tutorial series. this is a demonstration on how to preview a topic using the Oracle UPK developer.

a selected topic can be previewed from the outline editor in any the player modes such as see it, try it, do it, know it, document formats such as system process documents job aids text documents training guides instructor manuals in the presentation format in the player

preview gives you a good idea the topic will appear in the player and allows you to test a recorder topic to verify that all the frames and bubble texts are correct

however you will not be able to see the entire player interface if you choose to preview topic in any of the document formats they will appear in Microsoft Word Adobe Acrobat or HTML webpage depending on which format you choose to preview topic the first step is to select the recorded topic that you wish to preview from the outline editor

on the File menu point to preview and choose when the formats listed you can also click the down arrow to the right the preview list box on the Standard toolbar and choose one of the formats listed then click the green arrow to preview the topic . when you have selected the desired preview style, it will automatically launch

no. you can only preview one topic at a time and to preview a topic in a player mode, that mode needs to be enabled on the properties tool paint of that topic
