Canadian Maple - ping, size, and weight check
Still more testing to do before an estimate for purity tolerance can be given using just ping, the in app measurements, and a scale.
The adapted NASA formula predicts the .999 Fine Silver resonances as the peak gray shaded areas in the background, the raw data collected is shown as the stone blue target resonances that this Maple nailed.
So far, it’s much more accurate to test vs known authentic Coins than to use an Acoustic Model.
Big thanks to A W Leissa for his extensive work and study on vibrating plates, Dr. David Rakestraw, the late Phil Paul, and Ben Faber from Faber Acoustical.
Without them none of this app would be possible.

If you or someone you know would like to test metals with a Pocket Pinger, they’re available on the link in the profile, Amazon, and eBay.
Disclaimer: All the risks associated with pinching a coin in between your fingers and then tapping it with plastic and/or wood are present when using the device. The ping test is used for alloy identification. Always compare the sound of a potential counterfeit with the sound of a known authentic or trusted data base. Any difference in sound is a strong indication that further testing is needed. Always use multiple testing methods.
The Pocket Pinger has helped catch over 100 fake coins, all confirmed.
If you catch one with yours please reach out. There’s a valuable lesson to share in each story.
Dozens of Pocket Pinger demo videos can be found on the profile.
