So the gang leader said
'Earn your way out of it
Here's the deal, take this knife
If you wanna live take your friend's life'

Then with a desperate cry
He stabbed his friend with the knife
And the gang leader then
Quietly said

'Alright

Though the order was odd
It was promptly followed
The dead man and his murderer
Were left there facing each other
