A note... from the future!

I made this video in 2021. It is now 2024 and I am not entirely certain Barrier is being maintained anymore. The GitHub for Barrier doesn't show much activity since 2022: https://github.com/debauchee/barrier

As such, I'm not sure the current status of the Barrier project, but a new project has emerged (forked, I believe) which appears to have more traction and possible Wayland support, called "Input Leap."

Their GitHub is here: https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap

I am planning on investigating more, and will likely record a follow-up to this video in the next few months.

The original description continues below.

If you've ever needed to control multiple computers on the same desk from a single keyboard and mouse, Barrier is software worth checking out!

Barrier is a software solution (a fork of Synergy) which replaces unsightly KVM switches, and is super neat! In this video, I'll install Barrier on four systems (running Pop!_OS, Windows 10, macOS, and GhostBSD), and run them all from the same keyboard and mouse!

Music is by me! Background audio was recorded on Linux using the Bitwig Studio DAW.
