LeBron James became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history for the Los Angeles Lakers, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, which had stood for 39 years.
James hit the record-breaking basket with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The game was paused to honour James' achievement, and Abdul-Jabbar himself handed James the ball.
